Nomad Idle 0.5.1
=NEW STUFF
- New button in Settings -> General: Playable Area Border
- New button in Settings -> Interface: Display DPS Tracker
=IMPORTANT CHANGES
- You no longer lose Summon levels when Ascending.
- Objectives now need to be claimed upon completion (a red exclamation mark displays when claimable Objectives are available). If you have any Objectives completed prior to this patch, they will already be claimed.
=MISCELLANOUS CHANGES
- Enemy health bars now disappear instantly when an enemy reaches 0 HP.
- Enemies no longer take damage when they're dead.
- Added Help icon next to Reward Multiplier text when it's active which explains how the mechanic works.
- Summon Trinkets are now always visible in the Trinket list. The description displays which Summon currently has it equipped.
- Nodes in inaccessible sections of the Ascension Tree no longer visually indicate that they are obtainable.
- An exclamation mark now displays next to the Equipment icon when a piece of Equipment is eligible to be Crafted.
- In the Equipment screen, the "Craft" tab is now the first tab.
- In the Equipment screen, an "All Equipment" tab has been added as the first tab.
- In the Materials screen, an "All Materials" tab has been added as the first tab.
- In the Bestiary / Objectives / Achievements screen, the Bestiary tab is now the first tab.
- When hovering over the Bestiary / Objectives / Achievements button, it now displays additional text that Objectives and Bestiary Completion give reweards.
- Changed description of Ascension to no longer include that it's recommended to Ascend immediately as this can be misleading. You don't want to Ascend if you'd get no Ascension Points out of it.
- Trinket list now describes that you can get more trinkets by unlocking more summons at the top.
- Insight stat clarifies that the skill used costs mana.
- Summon Settings -> Summon Autocast clarifies that it's regarding autocasting your LMB Skill from points invested into the Insight stat.
- Autosave Interval has been changed from 30s to 300s. You can now adjust it between 300s (5m) and 900s (15m) in Settings -> Saving.
=BUG FIXES
- Fixed issue where Ascending would accidentally count Stat Points acquired through Objectives twice. This means if you Ascend since this patch, you might have slightly less Stat Points. You had too many before.
- Fixed text offset that would occur in disabled buttons.
- Fixed bug with Collar of Cunning needingto pass 2 checks instead of 1.
- Fixed bug with Acid Rain not actually scaling with Insight.
- Fixed issue where hitting the Escape key when previewing the Ascension Tree would lock the camera.
- Fixed issue where enabling Bestiary Lock in Settings would automatically disable it when the Settings menu is closed.
- Fixed issue where Hedgehog's "Quills" was incorrectly taking Player Damage and not Summon Damage.

This seems sort of unfortunate given the tons of crashes I have experienced in the web build :/
How does one even manually save on the web? Am I going to lose up to 5m of progress every time I close the browser?
In Settings -> Saving you can export your files if you want. I wasn't aware the Web build had so many crashes, though.
Okay, so I can export the files, but there's no way to import them in the web build. I had hoped that maybe initiating an export would also persist my data in the normal way. But no, that doesn't seem to happen. And as far as I can tell, there's no way to even know when a save has happened so I can close the browser shortly after.
This seems like a bad situation for players on the web.
If I can figure out why you're having so many crashes, this should ideally be a non-issue anyway. Is there anything in specific that happens when the game crashes, or any steps to reproduce the issues you're having that you can think of?
edit: I realize I replied to the wrong one, but none-the-less.
I have had a few crashes while switching from one zone to another, but also a few freezes while not doing anything in particular, just idling. Sorry, nothing I have reproduction steps for.
But this is still an issue even if there are no crashes. If I want to stop playing, I have to close the browser. With no way to manually initiate a save, I will lose progress every time I do this. It used to be up to 1 minute of progress, so not a huge deal. Now it's up to 5 minutes which is pretty annoying.
Agree. :-) A manual "save now" button would be fine.
Poking around in the JS console after the last couple crashes, there were various errors about not being able to allocate memory, and the heap becoming corrupted.
In both of these cases, the game had been running for a few hours with no drama previously.
So I think there may be a memory leak.
