YOU SHOULD KNOW
This is essentially a demo version of Nomad Idle. The full release of Nomad Idle will be available on itch and Steam once completed. I'm open to feedback!
This game is meant to be played through a downloaded executable found below.
If you're not comfortable with that, you can play through the web browser above, but expect it to have some problems.

ABOUT THIS GAME
Cut down hordes of enemies automatically in Nomad Idle, a spin-off of Nomad Survival. Engage in an expansive storyline, make impactful decisions, and grow stronger through various gameplay features that gradually unlock as you progress.
Nomad Idle is an idle game with a defined end and is not designed to be endless. However, that does not mean the game is short or lacks depth. In Nomad Idle, you can expect to have access to the following as you play through the game and unlock more features:
- Level up and earn Stat Points which may be distributed within 7 unique Stats, allowing you to create a build.
- Discover, craft, and upgrade Equipment in order to make yourself stronger.
- Conjure Summons to aid you in battle.
- Select Passive Skills to be automatically used in battle, further defining your build.
- Choose a Character, defining your active abilities.
Nomad Idle is an idle game, meaning that it mostly plays on its own. Your character moves and attacks enemies all on their own, but it can be played actively by making use of character-specific skills and abilities. Playing actively in this way is entirely optional and not mandatory, but can be effective in speeding up your progress or help you overcome challenges.

okay just came across this and for some reason idk if it's the wifi, the device I'm playing with, or the game it self. (which I highly doubt) But the game suddenly got super slow and mini screen suddenly went to black.
very addictive game !
will mac version of full release also be available in March?
I second this question
Just in case you miss the above response:
Mac and Linux will not be supported. I don't know anything about supporting them. I know some people in my Discord are still managing to play the game on Mac and Linux in their own ways, but out-of-the-box, probably not. Sorry.

Great game! Playing locally and really enjoying it. When will the full version be available to get? Will we be able to keep the same save/ascension points?
Full release is expected sometime in March. Save files will transfer over.
Games seems to suffer some sort of memory leak on firefox. Keeps crashing after a while, faster as i've progressed. Usually triggered by activating some menu (which starts taking longer to load as i play too) but eventually it crashes on it's own too.
mmm need more yummy nomad idle yes please
Very nice
I don't like idlers, though I try them once in a while. This is an absolute GEM! The story sucked me in completely, the way the seller(?) is described is amazing. The highlighting of text also really helps to make it easier to read. I love the way there is always a lore reason for the unlocks. I can't wait (ironic for an idler) for the full game!
Is the wavy and shaky text at the introduction a shader of something else? 👀
(5/5 I want more!)
Can't actually play the game
"Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross-Origin Isolation - Check that the web server configuration sends the correct headers.
SharedArrayBuffer - Check that the web server configuration sends the correct headers."
It's running in Godot 4 likely, so it needs a very modern browser and might not run on all OSes, might need to download.
To dodge Range Attack... Autoclick ontop of ur character. So u'll deal enough dmg to kill those u're aggroed to.
Just wanted to see what it was about. 3 hours later I can confirm not only that its good, but addicting. 10/10. Can't wait till it's "Finished". However, it's amazing as is.
Actually very fun, hope for a full release soon.
Realy good game, but, I don't understand exactly what I must to do. A tutto maybe be cool.
If you want, I am French, I can translate your game (in French) for free (because I have only 14 years old). You just give me the sentences, I translate them, and I send to you the result.
I've got the playtest on steam! I love it!
This game is so good, nice work
Really nice game! Keep going o/ I'll put it in my steam wishlist o/
man, why I need to kill turtles,...
this game activates my hyperfocus, I could play it all day
that said, music is way too quiet
Volume control in Audio Settings, or main menu Settings
love it love it love it!
good job The fox Knocks
awesome game to play while watching a twitch stream or something
Will there be a full release on itch.io too? :D
randomly found this on the front page and ended up playing for 3 hours straight lol ultimately got to level 70
wishlisted on steam, will be following this project ! :D
Hello, I'm trying to play it on Linux with Wine, but I get an error when launching it. Do you know which components I might have to install to get it working ? I loved the browser version but I'm not always online :/
On my system works OOB with fresh prefix with wine-staging 9.22.
It worked within a fresh prefix. Weird, but who cares? Great game I'm loving it!
It's so much fun to feel like I'm growing and getting stronger little by little!
I struggled with the rat's nest, but managed to conquer it by leaving it at stage 1 and acquiring a large amount of materials.
It's nice that the amount of materials obtained increases extremely when you go around.
Also, I really like the description of the text of the event, meow~!
my playthrough
Obsessed with this game!
Sorry but it somehow doesn't create the savefile in my appdata when I was trying to import my web save into desktop. I ran the desktop version to lv5, but still there is no Godot file under Appdata / Roaming.
Hey, i had the same problem - the description is a little confusing.
The save files are downloaded in your browser - you need to find them in "Downloads" folder on your computer and after that you need to move these files to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata. If you don't have this folder, just install desktop version and save the game once - it will be created.
Really fun and addictive!! Wondering that whether you might be interested in putting it into Chinese market? We could discuss more about it within Discord channel
Game is fun. I wish there was more interaction other than 2 attacks.
Since I use a mac and there isn't a mac version, I started playing the online version. Then, chrome crashed and I lost like 4 hours of work.
:(
wow! great work! I’d love to volunteer some theme music if you intend to keep working on it.
wow, did the last "bugfix" update seriously just lock the other 2 areas? areas which, im getting notifications for quests that need to be completed? if there IS NO FULL VERSION dont lock shit and say "locked to the full version". especially when said shit IS already in the game.
Don't be so entitled. This is a free game and the dev owes you nothing. Have you never heard of being polite? You sound like a spoiled child whose parents never said no to them.
have you ever heard the expression "dick move"? cause thats what the "bugfix" was. the update before then showed that there was much more of the game already finished, the bugfix just locked that stuff away for no reason. thats a dick move.
Good awareness—this kind of invective over a still-in-development demo is absolutely a dick move. If the dev made a change you didn’t understand, or if bugfixes glitched your save (which is what it actually sounds like), you could simply ask about it rather than trolling or crying or whatever it is you thought you were doing.
Now, what areas do you mean? I just started playing today and have so far unlocked a few areas; not sure how many there are total, but I currently have access to four. My assumption right now, until you post any sort of details, would be that either a progression bug gave you access to areas you shouldn’t have been able to unlock yet, or possibly some bugfix actually bugged your save (that’s kinda the nature of bugs).
[0.5.9] 5/5, it looks really promising, and it's already a great game!
2¢:
Well, for point 2... the creatures repeat every 10 levels so no real need to repeat "drops on level 3 13 23 33 43" etc
Lv 1-10 drops 1x items, 11-20 drops 2x items etc, so if grinding for materials it's always worth going for the highest level you can get to.
Oh, thanks for the info... I haven't noticed that :)
Not sure how that would work with the amount of fluctuation in this game… but if calculating such estimates wouldn’t hurt performance, yeah, that’d be neat
Ratmage B.S. how am I suppose to focus the targets next to my charecter while not losing focus on the ratmages?
Overall, it is an amazing game with a great story and development. The only thing I don't like is the damage numbers; I like their presence, but they are too big and distracting, and cause the game to glitch trying to keep up.
You can turn them off if you find they're not to your liking. I don't have a great way to adjust them elsewise though, that's true.
Brilliant game idea! well polished and well done!
Good game and a great start. I like the damage numbers, and damage FX. It would be nice if there was an option for a smaller window for crafting and leveling UI so you don't have to switch back and forth or a shortcut in UI.
I was playing the browser version of your game and, after a few rounds, it suddenly crashed. I'm not sure why it did, but I thought I should let you know.
Thanks for letting me know. I suspect the downloadable / steam playtest versions are more stable. I've heard of a few people have troubles with the browser version at the moment.
You're welcome.
Yo, saw this posted on Reddit and had to check it out. Played through to the end of the browser version and really enjoyed it, looking forward to the full version. Only minor issue I've found is it's easy to lose the cursor on screen and misclick on the wrong spots because of all the detail in the pixel art and projectiles. Not sure if Godot (or their browser runtime) supports it but a custom cursor that's easier to track with the eyes could go a long way. Cheers!
There's actually already a custom cursor in Settings -> Interface!
Glad you enjoyed it!
