Nomad Idle 0.5.9


This is probably the last free build for itch.io. Thank you everyone for checking the game out! Come join us in the Discord server if you'd like. We don't bite.

Anyway, here's the changelog:


= NEW STUFF

- New Option in Settings -> Interface: Display Miscellanous Popups

- Added Achievements. Accessible in the Objectives / Bestiary menu.

= IMPORTANT CHANGES

- You now maintain your Highest Stage Completed after Ascending in Areas where you've cleared Stage 50 (and Stage 10 in Void).

- The Equipment and Summon menus are now preloaded when first opening the game. Opening these menus should now be much faster, but let me know if you find any bugs with it.

- Strix, the Owl, now moves faster.

- Summons that target random enemies will now always find an enemy even if none are within its desired range.

- The floor of interactable rewards now scales up as you progress through Stages, capping out at Stage 40. This is based off of the current Stage you're on, not your Highest Stage Completed number.

- Curious Wisp has had its duration scaling halved. 0.1s for 1 WIS -> 0.05s per 1 WIS.

- VIT now also provides a Health Regen Mult boost.

- "Thornskin" (Hedgehog) has been significantly buffed, returning 30x damage instead of 6 and scaling 20% off of Speed instead of 7%.

- "Keep % of Coins" Ascension nodes now have you keep 20% of Coins per node.

- Significantly increased the EXP, Souls, and Coins rewards granted from interactables. They now also have a higher floor and a much higher ceiling in terms of the randomness of the reward given, lending potential to sometimes getting big rewards.

= MISCELLANOUS CHANGES

- When loading into a new area, it now has text stating that it's loading.

- A popup is now displayed when the game is saving.

- Strix, the Owl now looks for enemies in a bigger radius.

- Redesigned the Stat Overview menu to display more information.

- When hovering over Equipment in the Equipment screen, it now displays the name of the Equipment in the description.

- Trinket effects on Summons now take effect immediately instead of after a delay.

- You can now use the Shift, Alt, and Ctrl keys to distribute more points into Summon Stats per click.

- Reduced severity of red flash when dying.

- Bestiary tabs you don't have access to are now hidden. This does not include seeing enemies for an Area you have unlocked but do not have access to (such as due to demo limitations).

- Optimized enemies. (thanks to capito27 in Discord for the help!)

- Currency/EXP obtained in the Loot Log is now abbreviated.

- Area name display to the top-left now also displays the Area number.

- Changed particle effect of Curious Wisp.

= BUG FIXES

- Buffs no longer incorrectly stack, which caused memory leak issues.

- Fixed Ascension music not looping properly.

- Fixed issue where you wouldn't keep coins with the Keep Coins ascension node.

- Fixed rare issue where Trinket effects would be kept when swapping Summons.

- Fixed issue where if you have multiple pieces of equipment available to craft, but the first piece of equipment it checks cannot be crafted, it won't display the red exclamation mark.

- Fixed issue with the RMB skill in the Character Select screen displaying the name of the LMB skill.

- Fixed issue where if the max limit of interactables (10) was met and all interactables were near the player, none would be removed to make room for new ones.

- Fixed issue where Void music would not loop.

- Fixed issue where some Void enemies weren't using ranged attacks like their non-Void counterparts do.
